Ali Gholizadeh has undergone surgery in Iran on his injured left knee. Lech's midfielder will spend the upcoming weeks in his home country, where he will begin his rehabilitation.
The 30-year-old winger suffered the injury a month ago during the clash with Motor Lublin (1:0). Subsequent medical exams unfortunately confirmed a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). Ali has now undergone surgery, performed by a doctor he knows well and with whom he has previously worked throughout his career.
Ali will now begin the first stage of his rehabilitation in Iran. He will train at the National Sports Centre in Tehran, located just a few minutes from his home, for several hours each day. In around three months, Gholizadeh is expected to return to Poland to continue the next phase of his recovery.
Ali, we’re all with you! We wish you a speedy recovery and hope to see you back soon!
