Ian Hoffmann has joined Mjällby AIF on loan. Lech's defender will represent the Swedish Champions - who are currently competing in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers - until the end of the year.
The American joined Lech Poznań ahead of the 2024/25 season and appeared twice in the PKO BP Ekstraklasa and once in the Polish Cup during the club's title-winning campaign. After just over six months, he moved to the Norwegian side Kristiansund on loan before spending the following 12 months, also on a temporary deal, with another Eliteserien club - HamKam. In total, he made ten appearances for the latter side.
Earlier this week, Hoffmann completed his medical tests ahead of another loan move, this time joining Swedish side Mjällby AIF. The reigning Swedish Champions currently sit tenth in the Allsvenskan table after 12 matches. Hoffmann's new club are also competing in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, where they will face Gibraltar's Lincoln Red Imps F.C.
