Lech have completed another summer signing. On Wednesday afternoon, centre-back Terry Yegbe officially joined the Polish Champions on a permanent transfer from the French side FC Metz. The 25-year-old Ghana international has signed a four-year deal, until June 30th 2030.
Yegbe arrived in Poznań on Tuesday to undergo medical tests - the final step before completing the transfer. All formalities were finalised on Wednesday, allowing both parties to sign the contract.
"Terry Yegbe joins us on a permanent transfer from FC Metz and has signed a four-year contract until June 30th, 2030," said Lech's Sporting Director, Tomasz Rząsa. "We're bringing in a centre-back with outstanding physical attributes. Terry is tall, very strong, exceptionally quick and dynamic. Being left-footed, he'll also strengthen our build-up play, as he's very capable on the ball. We first started following him during his time in Sweden, before he moved to Ligue 1, where he played a full season. We've been working on this transfer for several weeks and believe he'll be a key addition to the squad."
Born in Ghana, Yegbe moved to Europe just over four years ago, joining the Finnish side SJK Seinäjoki. In February 2024, he transferred to the Swedish club IF Elfsborg, where he gained valuable experience both in the Allsvenskan and in European competition. He featured in the UEFA Europa League against AZ Alkmaar, AS Roma, Galatasaray, OGC Nice, Athletic Club and Tottenham Hotspur.
In August 2025, FC Metz signed him for €2.6 million. He went on to make 24 Ligue 1 appearances, playing close to 2,000 minutes. Now, the two-cap Ghana international will move to the Bułgarska Street.
"I watched Lech a bit last season because of Timothy Ouma, who I know well from our time together in Sweden," said Yegbe. "It's a big club that always wants to win and be the best. I've seen videos of the fans – they're incredible and give the team so much energy. My goal here is to win trophies, keep improving as a player, and contribute as much as I can. I'm still hungry to achieve more and keep developing."
Terry Yegbe will wear number 59 on the back of his shirt.
