Five league matches and three Europa League qualifying games without an audience – that’s the punishment from Greater Poland voivode, Zbigniew Hoffman, for the behavior displayed by Lech’s supporters during the Sunday match against Legia Warsaw.
The last league match of the season 2017/18 was interrupted in the 77th minute and never resumed. On Sunday, the League Commission decide to award Legia with a walkover. Meanwhile, on Monday, the voivode met with club representative, police, and fire brigade. The meeting resulted in the Hoffman’s decision to close Lech’s stadium for 8 games of the upcoming season.
The club has a possibility to appeal to the Ministry of the Interior and Administration about the voivode’s decision.
