Lech Poznan won the last league match of the season, finally ending the long, unfortunate series of losses. The team from Poznan beat Ruch Chorzow at INEA Stadium 3:0, thanks to the goals from Jozwiak, Linetty and Gajos.

Lech was dominating the match since the opening minutes. In the 7th minute Kownacki got a chance to score, having recovered the ball near the opponent's penalty area. However, the youngster's shot wasn't on target. A minute later the same footballer failed to hit the ball well and wasted another goal-scoring opportunity. Despite the advantage, Lech needed to remain cautious, especially in the 20th minute when Tetteh lost the ball in the midfield and Lenartowski got a chance to shoot at the goal. Nevertheless, Buric intervened successfully.

6 minutes later the score changed for the first time that evening. Gajos crossed the ball from the left flank into the penalty area and Jozwiak redirected it into the net. The 18 year-old put an end to the 530 minute long series of unscored goals. A few minutes later another youngster could have placed the ball in the net yet again, but Kownacki's shot was stopped by the goalkeeper.

In the closing minutes of the first half Buric was being kept busy by Ruch's players. First, the goalkeeper was forced to stop Hanzela's shot from outside the penalty area and then Buric intervened when Zienczuk, who was left unmarked in the penalty area, attempted a similar thing, but from a closer distance. Nevertheless, the goalkeeper secured the goal confidently.

The beginning of the second half was dominated by the guests, while Lech was waiting for a chance to counterattack, but whenever the hosts got one, they failed to score a goal. The last pass was the crucial element that decided about Lech's ineffectiveness. The guests tried exploiting Lech's chaotic play, for example when Surma fired an unexpected shot, but missed the goal by centimeters.

The team from Poznan finally took control over the game and built an offensive action that could have ended with a goal. In the 64th minute Pawlowski passed the ball to Kaminski, the sent it to Kownacki and the latter, left all alone with the goalkeeper, redirected it back to the defender who fired a shot, but not on target.

The same player had another chance a few minutes later when he received a pass from a free kick, but again, his lack of precision meant that the opportunity was wasted. Shortly afterwards Gajos decided to fire a shot from outside the penalty area, but although it was strong and on target, the goalkeeper stopped the ball from falling into the back of the net.

In the 77th minute goalkeeper Krzysztof Kotorowski, for whom it was the last match before retiring, came in to defend Lech's goal. The goalkeeper was given the captain armband and 5 minutes later his team scored another goal. This time Jozwiak was the one who assisted while Linetty finished off the team's offensive action with a precise shot near the post.

Nonetheless, it wasn't the end of the goals. In the 86th minute Kadar sent an outstanding, well-timed long pass in-between the defenders to Gajos, who passed the goalkeeper easily and placed the ball in the net, setting the final score.
