Kornel Lisman is joining the Serie A newcomers, Venezia FC, on a permanent transfer. The two-time Polish Champion travelled to Italy earlier this week to undergo medical tests, after which all formalities were completed and the Lech homegrown player signed a contract with the Italian club.
Just a few days ago, it was exactly three years since the 2006-born winger joined the Wronki-based section of Lech's academy. Lisman arrived from FASE Szczecin ahead of the 2023/24 season and initially joined Lech's B team, where he gained valuable experience in Poland's third tier. After just six months of impressive progress, he earned a place on the first team's winter training camp in Belek, Turkey, and was soon promoted to the senior squad.
He made his first-team debut in September 2024 in a league match against Śląsk Wrocław. In total, he made 33 appearances for Lech, scoring twice and providing one assist. Lisman played his part in the club's back-to-back Polish Championship triumphs in 2025 and 2026. He also represented Lech in the UEFA Europa Conference League, featuring against the likes of Rayo Vallecano and Rapid Vienna.
Lisman now embarks on a new chapter in Italy, where he will look to establish himself in Venezia FC's squad. The side managed by Giovanni Stroppa earned a promotion to the Italian top division after winning the Serie B title last season. The greatest achievement in the club's history remains their Coppa Italia triumph in 1941.
Kornel, thank you for everything you have done for Lech Poznań! We wish you further development, health, and plenty of successes in Serie A.
