Lech to face Danish Champions
Lech Poznań have learned their opponent in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League. Niels Frederiksen's side will face the Danish side, AGF Aarhus. The matches will be played on July 21st/22nd and July 28th/29th, with the first leg away from home.
Before the draw, UEFA divided the teams into two groups. The Polish Champions could have been paired with:
- FC Ararat (Armenia) / Riga FC (Latvia)
- KÍ Klaksvík (Faroe Islands) / FC Atert Bissen (Luxembourg)
- Tre Fiori FC (San Marino) / Larne FC (Northern Ireland)
- Sabah FC (Azerbaijan) / The New Saints FC (Wales)
- AGF Aarhus (Denmark)
- Mjällby AIF (Sweden)
In the end, Lech were drawn against AGF Aarhus. The second qualifying round ties will be played on July 21st or 22nd, with the return leg scheduled a week later (July 28th or 29th). The first match will take place in Randers.
