Another player has joined Lech Poznań. On Friday morning, Allahyar Sayyadmanesh signed a contract with the Polish Champions until June 30th, 2029. Welcome to Lech, Allahyar!
The Iranian is Lech’s second signing of the summer transfer window, following Mateusz Lis. Sayyadmanesh arrives after spending the last two seasons with the Belgian side, KVC Westerlo, where he scored 14 goals and provided 13 assists in 84 appearances.
"We are delighted to announce that Allahyar Sayyadmanesh has signed a three-year contract with Lech. Despite his young age, he already has considerable experience, which he gathered in the Turkish and Belgian leagues. The 24-year-old will strengthen competition across virtually every attacking position, as he can play on either wing as well as up front," said Lech's Sporting Director, Tomasz Rząsa.
The Iranian winger left his homeland in July 2019 to move to Turkey, where he initially played for Fenerbahçe. He also had loan spells with Istanbulspor, Ukraine’s Zorya Luhansk, and England’s Hull City, who signed him on a permanent deal in June 2022. During his time in England, he made 40 appearances, scoring three goals and registering two assists.
Sayyadmanesh also represents the Iranian national team. He has earned nine caps and scored once for his country, against Syria. Interestingly, in another match against the same opponents, he assisted Ali Gholizadeh, who is also a Lech Poznań player.
"I’ve been watching some of Lech’s matches for a while because my good friend Ali Gholizadeh plays here, so I already knew a bit about the club and the atmosphere. The supporters are fantastic and always get behind the team. I was impressed from the start, and Ali told me a lot about the club and how everything works here. It’s an exciting project, and that’s why I’m here," said the 24-year-old winger.
