Ten Lech Poznań players spent the recent spring on loan at various clubs. Three of them - Bartłomiej Barański, Mateusz Pruchniewski, and Krzysztof Bąkowski – will join the first-team preseason preparations on June 19th. Below are further details on the future of the loaned players.
Barański joined Lech from Ruch Chorzów in the winter, however, he spent the spring round on loan at his former club. Meanwhile, Pruchniewski and Bąkowski spent the past few months defending the goals of - respectively - Pogoń Siedlce and Stal Rzeszów. The first-team coaching staff has decided to bring the trio back to Bułgarska Street, hence, they will join the senior squad for the preseason preparations, which kick off on June 19th. Four other Lech Poznań players will also return to Poznań - Filip Borowski (Ruch Chorzów), Bartosz Tomaszewski (Polonia Bytom), Filip Wilak (Hutnik Kraków), and Jakub Antczak (Chrobry Głogów). “In the case of these four players, we will decide later on; for now, it’s most likely that we will look for another loan opportunity for them,” explained Tomasz Rząsa, Lech’s Sporting Director.
Filip Szymczak, who spent spring 2025 at GKS Katowice, is preparing for the upcoming youth European Championship with the U-21 squad. After the tournament, the forward will go on holiday, during which further decisions regarding his future will be made. The same applies to Ian Hoffmann and Elias Andersson. The American is currently competing for Kristiansund, and since the Norwegian league operates on a spring-autumn system, the player will stay in Norway until June 30th. For Andersson, the season with Viborg FF has already ended, and so he will report for duty at Bułgarska Street on June 19th.
“Here, the decisions will be made slightly later because of Filip’s appearance at the youth European Championship and Ian’s return in July. Similarly, in the case of Elias, we are yet to decide on his future,” said Rząsa.
