Filip Szymczak will spend the 2025/2026 season on loan at Royal Charleroi. Lech’s striker successfully passed his medical tests, after which all the formalities were finalised. The contract includes a buyout clause.
This is the third loan in Filip Szymczak’s career. Previously, he played temporarily for GKS Katowice during the 2021/22 season and the spring round of the last campaign. In total, he played 47 matches for the Silesian club in the 1st League and the PKO BP Ekstraklasa, scoring fourteen goals and providing two assists.
This season, the striker has made ten appearances for Lech’s first team. Overall, the Pole has played 120 matches for the club from Poznań, scored twelve goals, and recorded eleven assists.
Szymczak will spend the current campaign at Royal Charleroi. The Belgian side finished tenth in the league last season, and then came out on top in the playoffs for a spot in the Europa Conference League qualifiers. However, Rik De Mil’s team was eliminated in the second round of the European competitions, after a closely contested tie against Hammarby.
