We knew how difficult advancing to the next round is after the score from the first leg, but we wanted to play a good match and win this clash. The goal lost in the injury time hurts, because things could have gone totally different. Nonetheless, I am happy with the team. We had a lot of chances to [score and] win, but at last we failed to do so. I myself had two good goal-scoring opportunities. I tried to help the team somehow and I was looking for a way to score. I was close, but unfortunately the ball did not fall into the back of the net.
Everyone is criticizing and judging us, but we have to stay calm. We know what were capable of, we know how to play football and I know that well show it in the upcoming games.
Karol Linetty
For sure we were short of luck against FC Basel. Weve been missing experience too, because we did not convert the goal-scoring opportunities into actual goals. Now we have to focus on the upcoming match against Korona, and then we have a Polish Cup game to play against Olimpia Grudziadz. The two-leg clash against Basel has shown us that you have to be efficient and use all the chances you get. In the next matches we will try to show our true strength.
