Loaned players depart from Lech

On Monday, Lech will begin preparations for the upcoming season, with the first week of training taking place at the club’s facilities at Bułgarska Street. However, Timothy Ouma, Taofeek Ismaheel, and Plamen Andreev will not be returning to training with the Polish Champions, as their loan spells at Lech have ended.

All three players spent the title-winning campaign in Poznań on temporary deals. The first to arrive was 22-year-old Kenyan midfielder Timothy Ouma, who joined in July to strengthen competition in midfield during Radosław Murawski’s extended absence. Ouma made 34 appearances across all competitions, registering one assist and playing nearly to 2,000 minutes.

Just over a month later, Taofeek Ismaheel joined Niels Frederiksen’s squad on loan from Górnik Zabrze. His arrival was also prompted by injuries to several wingers, including Daniel Håkans, Patrik Wålemark, and Ali Gholizadeh. The Nigerian particularly impressed in Europe, recording three goals and three assists in the UEFA Conference League. He also contributed one goal and two assists in the PKO BP Ekstraklasa, making 34 appearances in total for Lech.

In the winter transfer window, Bulgarian goalkeeper Plamen Andreev arrived on loan from Feyenoord Rotterdam. The young player competed with Bartosz Mrozek and Mateusz Pruchniewski for a place between the posts and, as a result of the former's injury, featured in the away clash with Pogoń Szczecin. Lech's fans will remember him most for a crucial goal-line save late in that match, when the 21-year-old played through significant pain to preserve an important victory for his side.

We want to thank all three players for their contributions to Lech, including helping the club secure its tenth league title and another successful European campaign. We wish them health and success in their future careers!
