In the 29th round of T-Mobile Ekstraklasa Lech Poznan won at home with Slask Wroclaw 2:0. Finnish players - Kasper Hamalainen and Paulus Arajuuri - scored the two goals for Lech.

The team from Poznan drew twice in a row before facing Slask, and therefore the match was supposed to put an end to the bad series. Moreover, Lech once again got an opportunity to catch up to Legia who lost points against Ruch Chorzow on Friday.

The hosts did not begin well the match. In the 2nd minute Slask could have taken the lead when Linetty lost the ball in front of his own penalty area, but Pich's shot was stopped by Gostomski. Further into the game Lech regained control of the play. In the 14th minute Pawlowski received a great long ball from Douglas, but the winger did not control the pass and in result lost the ball. However, the goalkeeper surprisingly passed the ball back to one of Lech's player, but luckily the defenders cleared it out. In the 28th minute it was Gergo Lovrencsics that added another goal attempt to the statistics. The Hungarian received a pass from Kownacki and he sent a precise technical shot at the far post, however it was slightly inaccurate.

After switching the sides of the pitch, it was Lech that visibly dominated. In the 55th minute Pawlowski had another opportunity to add a goal to his account when he took over the ball in front of Slask's penalty area, but his flat shot was saved by the goalkeeper. However, 2 minutes later the result changed. It was Douglas that sent a precise center into the penalty area. Hamalainen was faster than the defenders and placed the ball in the net. Lech kept on pressing, but in the 69th minute Slask had a chance to equalize. Marco Paixao was fouled right in front of the hosts' penalty area. Machaj was the one to execute the free kick, but the ball stopped on the crossbar. In the 81st minute Pawlowski had another opportunity, however this time his shot stopped on the post. Nonetheless, 2 minutes later Lech scored again. The hosts were awarded a free kick right outside the penalty area. Douglas sent the ball right on the head of Arajuuri and the Finnish defender successfully directed it into the net. It was a well-deserved win for Lech following a great second half.
