Koljić agrees temporary deal with Lech
On Monday Elvir Koljić joined Lech Poznan on loan from FK Krupa. The Bosnian player will compete for Lech until the end of the season, with the possibility of a permanent move afterward.
The 22-year-old is a homegrown player of NK Klujc. During his football career, he competed for i.a. Boracu Banja Luce before joining FK Krupa in January 2016. In Liga 12, he played in 70 matches, scored 21 goals and assisted his teammates 4 times. During this season, Koljic competed in 18 games and got 11 goals. His great form resulted in a call-up for the national team – the Bosnian debuted on 29th January 2018.
The goal of the player is to fight his way into the starting line-up. “He is a totally different player than Gytkjaer or Khoblenko. You can see right away that he is a tall footballer, very strong and well-built. His physique is useful in the air which is certainly one of his key strengths,” explained Piotr Rutkowski, Lech’s vice-chairman.
The player is thrilled to have signed a contract with one of the top Polish clubs. “Lech is a great club with an ambition to win the championship. I want to win trophies, therefore it was an important factor for me whilst I was deciding to join Lech. Before signing the contract, we also talked about the forwards that are already in the squad. It did paint a good picture,” said Koljic himself.
The agreement includes a buyout clause, enabling a permanent move with a new contract until June 2021. The forward will compete for Lech with no. 14 on the back. The Bosnian footballers if the 4th winter transfer. The club has already signed deals with Rogne, Tomasik, and Khoblenko.
