Mikael Ishak and Antoni Kozubal have resumed standard training and are ready for the upcoming two matches. Meanwhile, Elias Andersson, Daniel Håkans and Filip Dagerstål will not travel with the team to Rzeszów.
Lech’s players are about to travel to Podkarpacie where they will face the local club Resovia on Thursday afternoon in a Polish Cup clash. After the match, the squad will train in Wola Chorzelowska before they face Korona Kielce in an away league game on Sunday. All of the footballers deemed fit to play will travel to Rzeszów.
During the Sunday clash with Śląsk Wrocław (1:0), Antoni Kozubal was subbed off at halftime as a result of an eye injury sustained during the play. Following the game, the young midfielder went to a hospital. “Luckily, it turned out that it was nothing serious. Antoni is training normally and will be ready for Thursday,” explained Lech’s coach, Niels Frederiksen. During last weekend’s league game, Mikael Ishak was also missing due to a minor injury. “Since Tuesday, he has been training with the rest of the team. Everything looks good, but we aren’t sure if he will make an appearance in the next game; I think we will wait until Sunday. However, he is fit to play again,” highlighted Frederiksen.
Meanwhile, Elias Andersson, Daniel Håkans and Filip Dagerstål will stay in Poznań. So will Tymoteusz Gmur and Mateusz Mędrala who will reinforce Lech’s B Team. “Elias has minor problems with his heel so he will stay in Poznań to receive an injection. He will most likely be ready to play next week. Håkans, who is undergoing rehabilitation, is also staying,” said the Danish coach.
