Playing for their countries – who and when?

After the Friday match with Gornik, many players from Lech’s squad joined their national teams. Arajuuri’s, Buric’s and Kadar’s squads are going to fight in the World Cup qualifiers during the upcoming weeks.

There is one more team that is awaiting important qualifiers – Polish U-19 squad. Kamil Jozwiak and Pawel Tomczyk are going to face Macedonia, Slovakia and Northern Ireland in the qualifications to the European Youth Championships.

All other footballers who left for the training camps with their fellow countrymen will play in friendly matches. Jan Bednarek, Dariusz Formella, Dawid Kownacki, Tomasz Kedziora and Milosz Mleczko have all been called-up by their national coaches. The Polish youth team is going to face Ukraine and Montenegro, while U-18 squad is going to play two-leg clash with Finland.

Bjelica’s footballers have a home league match to play on Sunday, October 16th, against Wisla Cracow (18:00).
