Lech Poznań - NŠ Mura 4:1

In the last friendly game of the training camp in Turkey, Lech Poznań beat NŠ Mura 4:1. Jakub Kamiński, Filip Marchwiński, and Joao Amaral (twice) scored the goals for Lech.

The Slovenian champions have divided their winter preparations for the second part of the season into two parts – first, they trained at home, and then travelled to Turkey for a training camp. The friendly match against Lech Poznań was their first practice game in Belek.

The Polish side began the game calmly, unlike the previous friendly matches. Most of the time, the two teams fought for the ball in the midfield and neither managed to dominate the game. Lech was the first to create a goal-scoring opportunity when Joel Pereira found space to cross the ball into the box where Filip Marchwiński was waiting. The 20-year-old tried beating the keeper twice but failed both times. Skorża’s team tried breaking down NŠ Mura’s defensive line using the flanks and they finally succeeded in the 21st minute. Jakub Kamiński and Joao Amaral outsmarted the Slovenian defence, and the latter placed the ball in the net. A few minutes later it was already 2:0. This time it was the 19-year-old winger that found the back of the net. Pedro Rebocho’s cross was intercepted by NŠ Mura’s goalkeeper, but Kamiński was waiting in the right place at the right time, and he changed the score to 2:0.

The team led by Maciej Skorża stayed in control of the game but failed to stop their opponent from scoring. In the 34th minute, Tomi Horvat’s beautiful shot from outside the box was too difficult for Mickey van der Hart to stop and the Slovenian team could celebrate a goal.

However, in the second half, NŠ Mura had few opportunities to equalise whereas Lech continued causing problems to the Slovenian defensive line. Within a few minutes time, Lech scored twice – first, Filip Marchwiński converted Jakub Kamiński’s cross into his third goal in Turkey, and then Joao Amaral took advantage of NŠ Mura’s mistake in the defence and beat the goalkeeper in a one-on-one situation. In addition, Michał Skóraś had plenty of chances to add more goals to Lech’s account, but his attempts were either slightly off target, or ended up bouncing off the woodwork. Still, when the referee announced the final time, Skorża’s team could celebrate a comfortable, 4:1 win/
