This is the Polish Champions’ sixth transfer of the summer. On Friday evening, Timothy Ouma and Pablo Rodríguez joined the list of latest reinforcements, which includes Mateusz Skrzypczak, Robert Gumny, Leo Bengtsson, and João Moutinho.

"Spanish attacking midfielder Pablo Rodríguez has signed a four-year contract with us. Currently, we're strengthening our offence and demonstrating our readiness for the potential departure of Afonso Sousa; the Portuguese player has the green light to leave during this transfer window, if we receive a satisfactory offer. Rodríguez is a player who won the UEFA Youth League with Real Madrid, scoring in the final against Benfica. We tracked him last season while he was on loan from Lecce to the Spanish side Racing Santander. He performed very well in La Liga 2, scoring goals and providing assists. He fits the profile of our number 10 - moves well between the lines and frequently enters the penalty box, looking to finish the offensive attempts. He will increase the intensity of our pressing and the speed of the transitions to defence after losing the ball," explained Lech’s Sporting Director, Tomasz Rząsa.

Rodríguez began his career at Real Madrid’s Academy and won the UEFA Youth League with the club in 2020, scoring in the final against SL Benfica. He later moved to the Italian side, US Lecce, and spent time on loan at Brescia and Ascoli Calcio before temporarily moving to Racing Santander last season, where he scored 7 goals and provided 3 assists. Now he is joining the club from Bułgarska Street, where he will wear number 77.

"I mainly play in central midfield as an attacking midfielder. The stadium is spectacular and has made a big impression on me. I’ve seen videos of the fans, and I can’t wait to play in front of this amazing crowd," said the Spaniard.
